Behind Asian StrEAT is Norvin Acabo, a business owner whose journey has always been closely connected to food.
Cooking has been a significant part of Norvin’s life. His journey began in professional kitchens and continued through years of cooking at sea — experiences that shaped his skills, work ethic and passion for bringing people together through food.
Those experiences eventually inspired the idea behind Asian StrEAT — a restaurant where different Asian flavours could come together under one roof, creating a relaxed place for families, friends and the local community to share good food.

Where It Started
Norvin’s relationship with food began in the kitchen. Working in professional kitchens gave him the opportunity to develop his skills, understand the discipline behind good food and discover how much meaning can exist around a shared meal.

His journey continued beyond the traditional kitchen. Cooking at sea brought new experiences, challenges and opportunities to grow — reinforcing the importance of consistency, hard work and serving others.
